Spirit Creek
Band Story
Spirit Creek formed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1996, led by frontman Doug Shea. They quickly earned a devoted following through relentless touring—playing 200–250 dates annually across college campuses and the club circuit—notching over 4,000 fans on their mailing list and performing in 12 states and nine countries.
Their powerful live shows and polished recordings caught national attention. Early acclaim included MTV Online naming them one of “Bands to Watch” (circa 2000) and Yahoo Internet Life picking them as “Best Unsigned Band in America,” out of over 5,300 acts.
Spirit Creek shared stages with more than 30 national acts, including Creed, Nickelback, Bush, 3 Doors Down, Filter, Drowning Pool, and Saliva. They also earned notable spots at Summerfest’s Rock Stage in Milwaukee for six consecutive years and served as the house band at the city’s top concert venue for four years.
