Band Story
FM Pilots is an Oklahoma rock/pop band known for catchy, polished tunes filled with heartfelt sentiment. The lineup consists of long-time friends Nick Whitaker, Josh Davidson, Josh Kephart, and Casey Meyering. “We’re all chasing dreams… chasing lives from movie scenes.” In the opening of their debut EP, the band reflects on the universal pursuit of ambition. This group of friends shares a deep love for creating music—an art form where their passions truly thrive.
“FM Pilots, balancing indie rock aesthetic and an undeniable pop sensibility… after only a few spins I was hooked and will be keeping an eye out for more,” wrote G.K. Hizer of Urban Tulsa.
The band released their self-titled EP in fall 2010, and it has since gained both local recognition and national exposure. Their music is available on popular platforms such as iTunes, Amazon, and Rhapsody, and physical copies can be purchased from their website (http://fmpilots.net). Locally, FM Pilots has been featured on Z104.5 The Edge, Tulsa’s CW 12/19, and Urban Tulsa, and received strong promotion on the 2010 Oklahoma Homegroan CD from Z104.5 The Edge. Their reach has grown nationally through social networking platforms like Facebook and Myspace. FM Pilots also appeared on “The Next Big Thing in Rock” CD, distributed by Tank Records (released January 2011).
Currently, while performing and promoting their self-titled EP, FM Pilots are writing and recording songs for their upcoming full-length album, set for release in 2011. Stay tuned online for updates, upcoming shows, studio footage, and new demos as this band continues to evolve.
