Today, 440Music made important progress in rebuilding a stronger platform for independent music by improving the member access system and restoring a more accurate connection to the site’s legacy structure. The reclaim flow for legacy accounts was also refined, helping long-time 440Music members reconnect with their history while supporting a cleaner path into the new control panel experience. These updates strengthen the foundation for an indie music community where artist identity, account access, and long-term preservation are handled with more care.

Another key step today was reviewing how the original 440Music quota system defined account types and permissions for different kinds of members. That work clarified how fan accounts and professional artist accounts were separated in the legacy platform, which is essential for rebuilding the site in a way that respects its original music community model. By using that legacy structure as a guide, 440Music can better support independent musicians, industry professionals, and music fans with the right tools and experiences. This progress moves the platform closer to becoming a faster, more secure, and more search-friendly destination for indie music discovery, artist promotion, and digital preservation.
