Adelaide’s Cape is the combined force of Sam Taylor and Hannah Richardson. The duo made their debut on the Norwich music scene back in 2006, and have since worked with a collection of other musicians to develop their live and recorded sound. After moving away from East Anglia earlier this year, the band now split themselves between the musical hubs of Bristol, Norwich and London, effortlessly leaving their distinctive mark on each. Described as “mystical post-folk” by OUTLINE magazine and "Beautiful!" by BBC Bristol, their sound is eclectic, fresh and unique, and has rightfully earned them comparisons with the likes of Johnny Flynn and Mumford & Sons. A sold out show at Norwich Arts Centre and a myriad of gigs across the East and Southwest of England in 2009 were just the beginning for this impressive young band. With a debut EP to be released in March 2010 and a launch party confirmed at London’s esteemed Luminaire venue, Adelaide’s Cape look positively set to be at the forefront of the next year’s pioneering nu-folk scene.
