NOYZE

Band Story
From the beginning, some 15 years ago, longtime friends Don Lynch and Kyle Menges seemed to be joined at the hip when it came to guitar playing. Somehow, the sound of the twin guitar slayers meshed well and brought to mind memories of some of the legends... Harrison and Lennon, Betts and Allman. Seriously, they do complement each other quite well.
The twosome honed their skills through the years playing with various singers, drummers, and bass players, but nothing seemed to really fit with their style. Then, in March of 2006, through a mutual acquaintance, they were introduced to Dave Durham, who hails from Indy and carries a reputation as one of the most versatile drummers to have ever graced the Phoenix music scene!
When initially told about the guitar duo, Dave was hesitant to jump on board due to the lack of a bass player and vocals, but after hearing the "tone" generated by Lynch and Menges, Dave decided to go for it. After four months, two bass players, and two singers, the project looked as though it might lose its momentum and come to an untimely end.
Dave convinced Don and Kyle to start recording the material they had been working on, hoping that their sound might attract the musicians they were looking for. In early October 2006, the first tracks were laid down, and during mixdown it became even more apparent that they really did have something special! By the time November had rolled around, Dave had contacted an old friend and ex-bandmate, singer and songwriter Joe DeCelle. Dave had worked years earlier with Joe in the band “Marketfield.” Joe heard what they had laid down and immediately went to work writing the lyrics.
NOYZE, the self-titled debut CD, was mixed down and mastered just in the nick of time, as the band received a call to open up for L.A. Guns at the world-famous Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood, California. What a great venue to debut the band and have a CD release party! Needless to say, the concert was a success and met with great reviews from industry insiders!
The band followed up with FURTHER IN, their second CD in just ten months. After a gig with GREAT WHITE, Joe decided to leave the band, parting as friends, leaving NOYZE without a bass player or lead singer.
Anyway, enough about the past — NOYZE announces Hilary Bisaillon and Danny Davis as new members!
NOYZE welcomes Hilary Bisaillon as the new lead vocalist, and Danny Davis is back on bass after taking a break from the band for a while. Hilary is originally from Bolton, England and has been singing and writing for many years. Starting in the Rave scene back in the UK writing dance and techno songs, Hilary and her former band signed to an indie label. From there, she began creating her own material and scored a production deal writing and performing.
After moving to the USA, she did studio work for the Legacy Band in Mississippi. Hilary arrived in Virginia after fleeing Hurricane Katrina. It was there that she hooked up with the bands The Rokkit Band and Tidewater, and eventually joined the band Contraast, an awesome band that was featured on the cover of Splash Magazine.
Danny Davis has played in numerous bands including Marketfield, System Sixty, Fridge Fresh, and many others, as well as writing and recording his own material in the studio. We welcome him back to the band — his bass playing and writing abilities are a great addition to NOYZE.
