In a world where the media seems to control our every thought and action, we find ourselves flooded with bands that have also fallen victim to the epidemic. Most Rock'n'Roll singers today mimic one another until they are all lost in the sea of sameness. I was starting to lose faith in Rock until I heard the album "Right Where You Are" by Tony d'Mattia. Filled with purity and honesty, there is nothing premeditated or predictable about this album. This is because Tony d'Mattia (a.k.a. fiz) played all the instruments on this album and also produced it himself. Tony keeps it real and diversified. The album starts with the title track "Right Where You Are" which has "radio hit" written all over it, then immediately shifts gears to "U Lied", a song Tony wrote on the mandolin, which has a more of a Middle Eastern feel to it.
